Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone, and a happy start of the new year! I hope you all had a great Holiday season.

This KAL has been hibernating for quite a while now, and it's time to kickstart it for the year 2008.
And how do we do that? COMPETITION TIME!

This is how it will work:

The next time there is a new post about AlphaMonkey's or TISA's adventures, there will be a prize drawing among every KAL member who leaves a comment on that post. The person who wrote the post will also be eligible for the prize.

The first prize drawing will be for this beauty. Some Dazzle sock yarn from The Natural Dye Studio. Anyone interested? (Click on the image to see a larger version).

So, according to the latest info, AlphaMonkey is in the UK and TISA is in Edmonton. Could pinkphish and pixie riot please give us a shout out to tell us everyone is ok (both the socks and their hostesses).

As soon as the next post appears (the 'real' post, not an update), the game is on, and you can leave comments until the next person posts about the same sock. For example, if the post is about Alphamonkey, you'll have until the next post about Alphamonkey to comment. These prize drawings will be organized more or less regularly, and I'll always let you know in advance when they'll happen.

Let's try to revive this KAL!

Yay! It looks like the socks have taken a bit of time off during the holidays but hopefully they'll be back to their usual tricks soon. :)

Oh good grief, I had forgotten all about it! I didn't even post about Tisa's visit to me!

I'll have to look around and see if she left a note or something.....

I think that's a really good idea. :) It kinda sucks though that you have to give everyone a little nudge.

Fabulous idea, (though I also agree with Kitty)

Both me and Alpha-Monkey are fine.
We had some adventures over the holidays- which sadly my brother deleted the photos of off my old digital camera (which I was giving to him) before I got them onto my computer. Thank goodness he only visits a few times a year.
I'm going to try and take Alpha-Monkey to my knit-night this week to take more photos. All being well I'll have him (her?) in the mail by friday.
I'm so sorry for holding everything up....

Works for me. Unfortunately, AlphaMonkey is too far away from me to visit (I move to Camberley today from Germany).

I would be glad to donate the yarn for the contest after this one.

It is not like I don't have some great sock yarn (grin).
